Sensei praises standard

THE JKS Gympie Karate Club celebrated its first birthday with praises from chief instructor Sensei Katsunori Kanaya.

The seventh dan black belt acknowledged the professional and dedicated work of the club’s instructors when he made an appearance at last week’s birthday celebrations.

He was pleased with the entire past year’s high standard of training.

Head instructor Andrew Quinn thanked Sensei Kanaya for his commitment and hard work. He said the club was privileged to have him as its chief instructor, being one of the highest and experienced JKS karatekas worldwide.

The JKS Gympie karate club has grown immensely since its beginning, thanks to continued community support.
