Santa stops by Rattler railway
HO HO HO... The festive season is upon us and Santa is making his presence felt early in Gympie.
Ahead of the big day, the big man in red will be stopping by the old Gympie Railway Station, Tozer St, on December 13.
From 5.30pm until 8pm, children can have a "selfie with Santa" for a gold coin donation. They can have a look through Santa's cave and take a peek through his secret window.
The first 100 children will also receive a free gift.
Parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras and a gold coin donation.
Project manager assisting the Rattler Railway Company Peter Blashki said all donations would go towards the restoration of the train line and locomotives.
"We're in the process of repair and restoration and (it would be good) if the community can support us to get the iconic Gympie tourist attraction running," he said.
The restaurant will also be open on the night.
