Roos turn up and beat Heat

COOLOOLA Heat coach Ben Fitzpatrick couldn’t believe the scoreline in the Heat’s clash against Roos on Saturday night.

After dominating play and controlling most of the game the Heat came from the field beaten 6-3.

“Our stats showed we were the best team,” Fitzpatrick said.

“We had three times as many circle penetrations as they did in the second half. Somehow they scored four goals and we scored none,” he said.

The Heat started the game on fire with Mitchell Kuether scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes.

Roos fought back to get level before Dean Walker scored another to put the Heat in front 3-2 at half time.

From there it was all downhill for the Cooloola side, despite having nearly all the ball.

“We played well. I don’t know what happened,” Fitzpatrick said.

The coach is now concentrating on this weekend’s game in Bundaberg and is hoping to get a bus load of spectators to come along for the game. Anyone wanting to come can call Ben Fitzpatrick on 0427 720 563.
