Revellers not hurt in bus crash

A BUS with about 20 Pub Fest revellers on board crashed through a wire fence along Gympie Road in Tinana about 2pm on Sunday.

The bus driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle when she slid off the seat of the bus but Maryborough’s Adam Coote – who was in the bus at the time of the crash – said because the vehicle was not travelling at a great speed only minimal damage was caused and none of the passengers were injured.

The bus crashed through a wire fence outside Tinana’s Lifeline centre at the intersection of Oleander Drive, almost collecting a public telephone booth before coming to a stop.

It had been headed to the Westside Tavern across the road.
