THE ABC is putting the spotlight on Toowoomba's migrant and refugee experience.

An episode of The Moral Compass will be recorded in town at the end of this month and residents are invited to be part of the audience.

Guests will be able to join Geraldine Doogue as she discusses the topic, Social cohesion or cultural collision? What we can learn from Toowoomba's refugee experience.

ABC researcher Francoise Fombertaux said she would encourage residents to attend.

"It's the experience of seeing cameras in action, recording an episode," she said.

"It's part of an initiative to put regional towns in the spotlight.

"We are coming to Toowoomba because Mayor Paul Antonio put his hand up to take in refugees."

The episode will be filmed at the Armitage Centre on Wednesday, October 28 from 6pm.

The program will be broadcast on Sunday, November 1 at 6.30pm on ABC.

You can also be included in the discussion by submitting questions on the show's topic by searching for The Moral Compass Toowoomba on http://www.eventbrite.com.au.

The panel discussion is free but seats are limited so if you wish to attend numbered entry tickets are available online.
