Redcliffe voters head to the polls for by-election

THE Queensland Government will face the first real test of its popularity when Redcliffe voters head to the polls this weekend.
The by-election was called after former member Scott Driscoll sensationally quit politics during the final sitting week last year.
Mr Driscoll quit before his parliamentary colleagues had the opportunity to throw him out after he misled the house.
He was subsequently charged with contempt and fined $90,000.
There are seven candidates contesting the seat including Liberal National Party candidate Kerri-Anne Dooley and Australian Labor Party candidate and former Federal MP Yvette D'Ath.
