Nathan Reardon recalled as Brisbane Heat seeks redemption

BRISBANE has recalled batsman Nathan Reardon and young fast bowler Mark Steketee for its final Big Bash League match against the Hobart Hurricanes at the Gabba tonight.

The Heat was embarrassed in its match against the Melbourne Renegades at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night, bowled out for just 80.

Despite some jittery moments, the Renegades passed the target with five wickets to spare.

Reardon, who missed the match with knee tendonitis, replaces Jason Floros, while Steketee, sidelined after being struck in the head at practice prior to the defeat against the Sydney Sixers on Sunday night, comes in for paceman Cameron Gannon.

The teams have already met this season, the Hurricanes producing a record run chase of 4-209 in 19 overs in Hobart after the Heat set a total of 6-208. The Hurricanes must win to stay in contention for the finals.
