Ready to pull on the Green and Gold for Oceania Athletics

Mason Tiver, a year 12 Nambour State College student has been juggling a demanding school work load and Athletics training load recently.

In March he competed in the Australian Combined Event Championships in Hobart for the U 18 Decathalon , where he placed second.

As a result he has been selected by Australian Athletics to compete in the Oceanic Championships in Townsville commencing this coming Monday.

It will be Australia's largest Athletic competition this year with over 700 athletes for 22 countries competing.

With 10 events to train for as well as year 12 school commitments the last couple of months have been extremely busy.

Mason starts his 2 days of competition on Tuesday, travelling with him to Townsville are 2 of his coaches, Nick Bennett and Ray Boyd.
