Rattler steams again

THANKS to the lifting of fire bans, the Valley Rattler steam engines are again hauling heritage trains on their four-day-a-week trips from Gympie toward Imbil.

After a period of diesel haulage, recent rains have allowed steam to get back into action. “We have had the locos fully serviced and ready for the green light, so the sights and sounds of our steam engines are back in time for the holidays,” manager Jim Walker said.

“Grab your family and friends, come along on a steam train ride and have a relaxing day.” Bookings for the Rattler can be made on 5482 2750 or online www.thevalleyrattler.com
