RAINBOWS Rugby league club reunion organiser Julie Gear is hunting for more photos of the famous maroon and white club and is hoping members of the public will lend her pictures for the 2011 event.

“I have been getting great feedback but I am still chasing more team photos,” Gear said.

She asked past players who were in contact with other ex-Rainbow players and supporters who had left the district to pass on her details, so they could contact her about the reunion.

She can be contacted by phone on 5481 1360 or email the4gears@bigpond.com.

The reunion will take place on March 5 at Gympie Rugby League’s Jack Stokes Oval.

Gear is appealing to all former players and supporters to come along to the event, step back in time and reminisce with old mates.

All proceeds from the bar and barbecue will be dedicated to Gympie Junior Rugby League, making the night an equally important fundraising opportunity.

Admission will be by ticket only, covering nibbles and a lucky door ticket.

The special reunion starts at 2pm, with terra tag to kick off at 3pm. A barbecue will follow at 6pm. Tickets are available from Sportspower Gympie from January 4.
