Raids seize $30,000 in drugs from Toowoomba home

BREAKING: Police have seized in excess of $30,000 in illicit drugs from Toowoomba homes across the weekend, including cocaine, ecstasy and ice.

Darling Downs Tactical Crime Squad officers raided a number of properties from Friday to Sunday afternoon, arresting 28 people on a combined 59 charges.

One haul of illicit drugs at one property netted police drugs with a street value in excess of $30,000.

Police allegedly seized stashes of cocaine, ecstasy, ice, cannabis, steroids, firearms and cash.

TCS Officer-in-Charge Senior Sergeant Scott Stahlhut said the arrests followed raids last week which saw 12 people charged with 44 offences.

"The tactical operations undertaken under Operation Oscar Glyph continue to address Crime Squad priorities of drug, weapon and property crime. Our investigations will continue and won't be slowing down anytime soon," he said.

A 25-year-old Darling Heights man has been charged with a total of 13 drug related offences and is due appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on September 29.

A 24-year-old Darling Heights woman residing in the same dwelling was issued with a Notice to Appear for three counts each of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing utensil and possessing anything used in the commission.

She is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on September 27.

Last week TCS officers recovered a centrefire revolver from a 22-year-old female and a quantity of illicit drugs.

She was charged with four counts each of possessing a dangerous drug, possessing a weapon (revolver), possessing drug utensils, among a number of other drug related charges.

She was one of 12 persons charged last Monday and Wednesday on an additional 44 charges.
