Seeking Gympie's top businesswoman

THE Gympie Women’s Excellence in Business Awards will be held at the Phoenix Hotel in Gympie next month to coincide with International Women’s Day.

The Gympie Women in Business Network is holding the awards for the first time with the blessing of the Gympie Women’s Health Centre, which has held an awards evening in the past to honour “ordinary women – extraordinary achievements” on International Women’s Day.

Nominations are open to all women in the region and business owners and employees are encouraged to download the information and submit the completed nomination forms to the Gympie Women in Business Office at 245 Mary Street, before 5pm next Friday, February 26.

The gala awards night will be held from 6pm on Monday, March 8 and is open to the public.

Organisers hope to see as many Gympie business women and supporters of nominees as possible.

The Gympie Women’s Excellence in Business Awards were launched to acknowledge women from the Gympie region who are making a positive difference to the community. Judges are looking for women who the public believe strive for excellence; women who have taken their business to the next level and whose passion for business shines through.

For enquiries and nomination forms, phone Lee Tompkins on 5482 9262.
