Man stabbed in Brisbane home

A MAN has been stabbed at a private residence at Taringa.

Emergency Services were called to the Todd St property just past 6.30am.

The man was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Meanwhile, a man has been charged following the serious assault of a woman in Mt Isa on Sunday.

"It will be alleged around 12.15pm, police and emergency services were called to an address on East Street following reports of a seriously injured woman," a police spokesperson said.

"The 92-year-old woman was taken to the Mount Isa Base Hospital for treatment to facial injuries. A crime scene was established and investigations commenced."

A 35-year-old man, not known to the woman, has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and enter with intent.

He is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court today.
