Put your flavour to the test

THE Gympie Times’ Special Publications co-ordinator Michelle Agnew is a happy woman. Her three major passions all complement one another – fundraising for charity, promoting local businesses and food.

Blessed with being both an ideas person and a person with the ability to see those ideas through, she is the brains behind the inaugural Flavour Fest to be held at the Pavilion on Saturday, March 27.

“I’m always looking for things to do for charity,” she said. “I thought Expo, (held in September) a fundraiser for Camp Quality and that promotes local businesses, is up and running and I was looking to do something else.

“My third passion is food and while I was working on the local phone directory I found out about people in the community doing interesting things.”

Flavour Fest will highlight everything from local fruit and vegetables, meat, chocolates, jams, chutneys and everything in between.

If anyone would like to be a part of the Flavour Fest experience, phone Michelle on 5480 4228 or email michelle.agnew@gympietimes.com.
