Public nuisance can't remember
SAYING he didn't even know how he ended up at the Jockey Club Hotel on September 26, a man almost couldn't believe what he had done to end up in court on Monday.
Wray Barry Green was charged with public nuisance when he refused to leave the Southside club.
Staff said he was intoxicated, created a disturbance, annoyed a group of people trying to watch football and tried to touch some female patrons.
When police arrived, Green, 55, struggled and was handcuffed before being taken to the station.
Green of Red Hill Road, Gympie, told Gympie Magistrate Neil Lavaring he had been of pretty good character for the past 15 years. Wray had no conviction recorded and was fined $400.
