Pretty in pink for charity game

GYMPIE Cricket Association president Troy Rowlands is urging people to dress in pink for the Twenty20 big bash clash this Saturday night.

The game is a Pink Stumps Day fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation and will be a match between the Gympie Cricket Allstars and the Gympie Devils Cricket Allstars.

Rowlands said entry to the game was free but a bucket would be handed around on the night for donations.

There will also be plenty of raffles to try and raise money and awareness for the breast cancer and breast care nurses.

Rowlands said there would be plenty of fun for the kids with a jumping castle and plenty of big-hitting action for the parents.

The night game gets underway at 6.45.

Rowlands said there would be a barbecue and bar running.

The teams are still to be finalised with the Gympie Devils selecting a team last night and the Cricket Allstars side to be named on Thursday for publication in Friday's Gympie Times.
