ESKI loves being dressed up and is always the centre of attention at a costume party.

The three-year-old Alaskan malamute weighs about 40kg and is as tall as his owners, Brent and Alice Waters, when he stands on his hind legs.

Handy for those occasions like The Gympie Times competition, Pimp your Pet, in which people entered photographs of their primped and preened pets.

A picture of Eski dressed as a biker dog was the winning entry, but it was only one of many photographs of the much loved pooch in costume.

"He's used to getting dressed up at every party we have," Alice said.

"The picture we entered in the competition was one we already had from a themed party."

Eski, whose middle name is Mo, is the young couple's "pride and joy". "Well we don't have any kids," Alice added. "He is involved in every part of our lives."

The Waters and Eski won a $100 voucher donated by Sunshine Mitre 10, which will go towards fixing their fence. Snowball the cat won second prize of a free vaccination from Familypet Vetcare.
