Polling places open early

MOST readers of The Gympie Times will find they are in the electorate of Wide Bay, currently held by the LNP’s Warren Truss, who has first place on the ballot; followed by property manager Santo Ferraro (One Nation), retired missionary Ken Herschell (Family First), retired academic Jim McDonald (Greens), and landscape architect Nikolee Ansell (ALP).

Towards Kenilworth, some readers will find they are in the northern sections of Fairfax or Fisher.

In Fairfax the sitting LNP Member is Alex Somlyay, challenged by researcher Dan McIntyre (ALP), manager Narelle Louise McCarthy (Greens), and retiree Ron Hunt (Family First).

Fisher voters have the choice of incumbent Peter Slipper (LNP), facing electrician Chris Cummins (ALP), business owner Robyn Leanne Robertson (Family first) and systems analyst Garry Claridge (Greens).

In Fairfax, voting locations include: Eumundi State School, Kenilworth Community Hall, North Arm State School; and in Fisher: Conondale State School and Witta Recreational Club.
