Police find bushwalkers stranded at Mount Glorious

UPDATE 12:07PM Two bushwalkers lost at Mount Glorious overnight have been located safe and well by a rescue helicopter.

The pair had called police last night around 7:30pm to say they were lost and stranded on a ridge after going for a bushwalk. They were well prepared with clothing, food and water.

The men were located by the helicopter this morning shortly after 11:30am in dense bushland and were winched to safety.

10:32 AM POLICE are currently coordinating a search for two bushwalkers stranded at Mount Glorious.

One of the men contacted police around 7:30pm last night to advise he and another man were lost and stranded on a ridge.

The men advised they had sufficient clothing, food and water for the night and were safe where they were.

Neither of the two men, believed to be in their 20's, reported any injuries and contact was maintained with them throughout the night.

A land search this morning failed to find the men and a helicopter has now been called in to assist however weather conditions may hamper the aerial search.

Police are still in contact with the men.
