Police release images of robbery

WHILE police have “had some calls from the public” in relation to the armed hold up at Gympie’s Chemist Warehouse at Edwin Campion Dve on July 8, police are seeking public help to identify a man.

The man entered the store about 3.45pm and assaulted a staff member before stealing a quantity of prescription drugs.

The man was last seen running away from the store.

The alleged perpetrator is described as being between 30 and 40 years of age, of Caucasian appearance and wearing dark coloured trousers and a hoodie with the hood pulled over a baseball cap.

Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations is urged to contact Gympie Police Station on 5480 1111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au, available 24 hours.

“Obviously we’d be happy to hear from anyone who does have knowledge,” head of the investigation Detective Senior Constable Brett Long said.
