
Police: Pair arrested, charged after Mackay drug raid
A MAN and a woman have been charged after a drug raid in Mount Pleasant, says Queensland Police.
The Mackay District Drug Taskforce searched a Pioneer St, Mount Pleasant home on Saturday.
Officers allegedly found pharmaceutical tablets, amphetamines, ecstasy (in various forms), syringes, cannabis, drug utensils, cash and mobile phones.
After the search was finished, a 37-year-old Mount Pleasant woman was charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, one count of possession of restricted drugs and possession of property linked to drugs, police said in a statement.
She was also charged with possessing drug utensils and possessing property acquired to commit a drug offence.
The woman was due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
A 38-year-old Mount Pleasant man has also been charged with unlawful possession of dangerous drugs and will appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on February 22.
