Police-dog-in-training makes impression on babysitting boss

THE majority of us would put our hand up to babysit a puppy any day, but one police officer may think twice next time.

A North Queensland based dog squad officer was taking a trip for a few days and asked their officer-in-charge to look after their 17-week-old police-dog-in-training.

Hendrix, the puppy, certainly did make an impression.

He was left in the care of Sergeant Raymond whilst Constable Matt McKinnar went on a quick trip out of Cairns.

Here is how the conversation went…

Constable McKinnar: "Sergeant, I'm going away for a few days, would you mind looking after the puppy for me?"

Sergeant Raymond: "No problems, he behaves doesn't he?"

Constable McKinnar: " Yes, good as gold, well behaved."

Well they say a picture speaks a thousand words…
