Play that downhill shot like a golf pro
Chipping from a downhill lie is one of the harder golf shots to achieve.
However, there are a few ways to execute this shot in a way that will get your round back on track.
Like with many shots you must have the club head faced towards the target.
That is the only way to get the ball to go where you want it to go.
Like with many short game shots, try and maintain a low grip n the club.
This controls leverage and also assists in your back swing and follow through.
When performing the shot, lean your body with the slope. A common mistake players make is standing straight over the ball when on a downhill surface.
By leaning into the shot you create a better angle to the ball, thus improving the stroke.
Maintain a solid 'V' in your hands and arms and aim for the back of the ball.
By doing this you are allowing the club face to do the work for you.
