Plane belly lands at Brisbane Airport

A SMALL plane has made a belly landing at Brisbane Airport, causing delays to flights this morning.

In a statement a spokeswoman for the airport said a Metroliner twin turboprop freighter, operated by Toll Aviation, landed with its wheels up about 2.30am.

The two pilots on board were uninjured and the plane has been removed, but the runway is now being inspected.

"A number of flights are expected to be affected," the spokeswoman said.
