Pipped at the post

BROTHERS captain Mick Curran looks for an opening with lock Peter Roberts and fullback Gary Bermingham in support.

Brothers lost the match 32-22 after giving up a half-time lead of 22-12 against Bribie Island at Albert Park in May 1990.

The match was overshadowed by a vicious all-in brawl, but Wide Bay representative Lance Harrison went on to score a brilliant try after receiving medical attention from a high tackle.

Harrison went on to earn Brothers' player's player, with Mick Curran receiving an honourable mention.
