LEON Smith says his Gympie Cricket All-stars team are out to win tonight against the Gympie Devils All-stars.

The two sides are playing in the Pink Stumps Day Charity Twenty20 cricket match under lights at Albert Park.

The money raised will go to the McGrath Foundation to help support breast care nurses around Australia.

Smith said he was looking forward to captaining the Cricket All-stars and thought the game could be a lot tighter than what everyone thought.

"They have got some good batsmen in the Devils side," Smith said.

"They should go all right; it might be a lot closer than we think."

He said his team was just going out to have a lot of fun.

"We will give the young fellas a go (with the bat) first and see how it goes," Smith said.

"It is going to be a good night. Hopefully we will get a few people out to watch and support a great cause."

Gympie Devils All-stars captain Mitch Hillcoat said his team would give the cricket boys a real run for their money.

"We have a few big hitters in the side," Hillcoat said.

He named Kris Kahler, Tim Wyvill, Josh Greaves and himself as players who could clear the boundary.

Hillcoat said he was looking at opening their batting with Zinc FM radio announcer Nathan 'Nugget' Dell.

"We might get him to open the batting and the bowling just to see how he goes."

He said the Devils were going to have a good crack at winning the game and they would probably have to make about 130 to 140 runs to win.

Gympie Cricket Association president Troy Rowlands is urging everyone to wear pink tonight.

He said the club was hoping to raise more than $1000 for the McGrath Foundation.

The bar at Albert Park will be open and a barbecue will be operating.

A jumping castle will be on site for children and there will be raffles with great prizes to be won.
