A brief look into Gympie’s past

KEITH Robertson, now aged 86 years and a well-known identity from Robertson Brothers, was cleaning out some old documents recently when he came across a reproduction of a photo, taken of Mary St in the 1900s.

Many of the buildings in the photo are still standing but Keith would love to know more about the photo itself.

"I've got no idea where that photo came from," he said.

Can any of our readers shed light on it? Let us know.

Mr Robertson also came across another photo, below, which he is far more familiar with. It shows the Gympie and District Caledonian Pipe Band, on Anzac Day in 1980.
