MANCHESTER City manager Manuel Pellegrini says his team's poor form is down to him after the club's English Premier League campaign was left looking dead and buried after a derby loss to Manchester United.
United ended a run of four defeats in the cross-city clash with a 4-2 success.
It was City's sixth league loss in eight games and Pellegrini said that was his fault but refused to speculate about his future with City now down in fourth spot.
"It is my responsibility and the only way we can change this is by winning games," said the 61-year-old (pictured). "I am not talking about my position. It is not important."
The defeat was compounded by ladder-leader Chelsea scoring a late winner to beat Queens Park Rangers 1-0.
The Blues are now seven points clear of Arsenal with a game in hand, with United a point further back in third.
Reigning champion City is 12 points behind the leaders with four games remaining.
