Peeping Tom gets bond

A PEEPING Tom was placed on a good behaviour bond in Magistrates Court yesterday for looking through a woman’s bedroom window in May last year.

Craig Anthony McLean, 20, said he remembered that the Gympie Show was on at the time and he had walked up and down the lane beside the woman’s house numerous times.

“I was a show worker and was helping set up,” McLean told the court.

“I had a few drinks every night,” was all McLean said. He did tell the court he was scheduled to appear in a New South Wales court on other charges and wanted to “hit these charges on the head” so he could “leave this side (of Australia) and go to the other side” to try and get his life together.

McLean, of Lilly Street, Southside, was placed on a good behaviour bond for six months.
