Patrick has last word, cleans up

GYMPIE student Patrick Connolly is one of Queensland's top public speakers.

The St Patrick's College student won the senior division in the state final of Rostrum Voice of Youth public speaking competition for high schools and will contest the national title in Hobart on July 28.

Patrick won the junior national title in 2010.

Runner-up at state level was Sophie Butler of Fraser Coast Anglican College who will accompany Patrick to Hobart.

Rostrum's Queensland co-ordinator Bill Smith congratulates both Patrick and Sophie on their achievements and wishes them well at the national final.
