
UPDATE: Man thrown over handlebars in Fraser Island crash
UPDATE: A motorcycle rider aged in his 50s has been airlifted off Fraser Island after a crash on Saturday morning.
It is believed the rider was attempting to travel from a beach to a resort when he lost control and was thrown over the handlebars.
The patient was treated for shoulder and run injuries before being flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
EARLIER: A patient has suffered chest and upper limb injuries after a motorcycle crash on Fraser Island.
The crash happened about 10.32am on Saturday near Happy Valley.
Paramedics are at the scene and a rescue helicopter has been tasked.
The patient is in a stable condition.
