Patient airlifted after marine sting on Fraser Island

A PATIENT has been airlifted off Fraser Island after being stung by a marine stinger.

The incident was reported at a location off Awinya Rd at 3.25pm.

The person was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital via rescue helicopter.
