Gympie's Kimberley takes bronze in LA Special Olympics

GYMPIE track star Kimberley Langton (pictured) has won a bronze medal while competing at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles.

Special Olympics Australia announced Langdon's podium finish on social media after she placed third in the 400m track event.

Langdon's bronze comes on top of gold won by tenpin bowler Rebecca King in the team's event Tuesday.

Yesterday King won silver in the singles.

The Gympie athletes are competing at the games with 6500 other athletes and 2000 coaches representing 165 countries.
