Optus franchise dials up hard-earned recognition

GYMPIE Optus storeowners Ricky and Libby Manthey are celebrating success at the telco's recent national conference.

Held over the June long weekend, the Gympie Optus store placed seventh nationally against nearly 75 other Network Communication franchise owners.

The nation's top 10 stores were awarded at the Elevation Awards and to receive this honour, the store had to be continually reaching sales targets, have excellence in store standards and achieve consistent positive feedback.

"This is the second year in a row that our store has been awarded seventh place in Australia and we are very proud of the consistent effort of our staff over the last two years," the storeowners said.

"Our store was also given recognition for being the top support of chaplaincy through our Charity Mobile Plans.

"This plan is a win-win for customers, our local schools and other charities and is only available in Network Communication Optus stores across Australia."

Ricky and Libby said they recognised they would not have won the award if not for the support of the local community.

"We are super excited about what the next year holds and we hope all our customers will keep supporting local so we can continue to serve you enthusiastically," the pair said.
