On highway to help

A GREAT day is on the cards for the Gympie Area Historic Motorcycle Club of Queensland's annual Poker Run on Sunday.

Registrations begin at 8am for a 9am start from the Gympie and District Gold Mining and Historical Museum for a run through the Sunshine Coast hinterland and the Mary Valley.

The run will finish about 2pm at the Phoenix Hotel with a free sausage sizzle.

This is the club's annual fundraiser for Little Haven Palliative Care, and thanks to the support of sponsors there will be the usual great prizes that make the run such a popular event.

Entry is $15 with prizes for best, second best and worst poker hands for men and women, as well as free tea and coffee, morning tea, and prizes at each draw.

The run is open to bikes and riders of any age.

Inquiries Allan 5482 8828 or Peter 0439 759 947.
