Warning: Cuteness overload! 'Oh baby, life’s a hoot'

THIS ball of fluff may be a little unsure of its feet, but the baby masked owl soon will be the new star in Sunshine Coast skies.

The yet-to-be-named 12-week-old male is the latest addition to the ever-growing menagerie at Crystal and Jason Jordan's Beerwah property.

The owlet is the newest baby bird on the block, as Luna the barn owl, formerly the youngest of the group, prepares for her first public show on June 21.

Mr and Mrs Jordan, both former birds of prey trainers at Australia Zoo, have seven owls as part of their business, Raptor Vision.

Their goal is to one day open a Coast raptor rehabilitation centre to help sick or injured birds go through fitness training before release.

The couple is passionate about birds of prey and sharing the conservation messages of the curious creatures.

With wings stretched, Luna has lost her baby "fluff" and is looking as regal as ever, ready for the Raptor Vision Evening With Owls event on June 21.

"Luna is doing so well. Our son Levi has been helping with her training too alongside Jason," Mrs Jordan said.

"Luna should be ready for her first flight in the next show. These owls have a lot of personality and people don't often get to see them up close, so the night is about getting to know the birds and learning more about them."

The Evening with Owls is on at Ewen Maddock Dam Camp, Steve Irwin Way, 5-7pm.

Barbecue and owl-holding sessions for $5 from 5-6pm and the owl show 6-7pm. Admission is $12 adults and $8 children.
