Offenders in court for string of Coffs CBD and Jetty crimes
POLICE from Coffs Clarence Local Area Command have swooped on offenders suspected of committing thefts from commercial premises and made numerous arrests.
In the past three weeks there have been a number of break and enter-related offences from businesses around the Coffs Harbour CBD and Coffs Harbour Jetty areas.
As a result of ongoing investigations and proactive work in and around these areas, police have successfully arrested and charged a number of persons for these crimes.
A Coffs Harbour man, 28, has been charged with a recent break, enter and steal offence at a West High Street accountancy business where a laptop computer and cash were allegedly stolen.
Appearing in Coffs Harbour Court, the man was bail refused until Monday, May 4.
He was also charged with unrelated offences of goods in custody and a fraud.
A Coffs Harbour boy 14, will receive a youth caution for a shoplifting offence where he is alleged to have stolen a charity tin from the front counter of a shop in Park Beach Plaza on April 14.
One man and two women from Nambucca Heads have been charged as a result of a break and enter offence from a transport company on the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour last month.
A 27-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of break, enter and steal, two counts of larceny, and receiving stolen property.
The man, 42, has been charged with three counts of receiving stolen property.
The 25-year-old woman has been charged with three counts of receiving stolen property, recklessly deal with proceeds of crime and two counts of furnish false information or statement to a licensee.
All three persons will appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on May 11.
Investigations into this matter are continuing.
