Car wasn't hidden well enough

THE owner of a Holden Commodore sedan hid his car in bushes after having radiator trouble in the forestry on Mitchel Creek Rd, Imbil, earlier this month.

But he did not hide it well enough.

The man returned to retrieve his car the next day only to find it had been jacked up and all the wheels removed.

As he approached the area where he had left his car he saw two cars speed off in opposite directions. He recognised the cars and went immediately went to the Imbil police.

In Gympie Magistrates Court this week, Imbil poultry farmer Alexander Titus Ford, 24, pleaded guilty to stealing four wheels at Imbil on May 8.

He was fined $400. Another man was remanded on the same charge.
