New fees and charges
NEW fees and charges that have been passed by Gympie Regional Council’s Corporate Governance and Finance Committee meeting are up for adoption at next weeks general meeting.
The new fees see increases almost across the board including storing flammable and combustible liquids and minimum fees for caravan parks.
Food licences and food safety programs are also set to rise.
One of the largest percentage increases is for people boarding or breeding dogs up by 20 per cent from $120 to $125, second highest is the upfront cost of a barking control collar which has increased by 12.5 per cent.
It will cost you $5 more to release your dog or cat from the pound, regardless of whether it is registered and $1 more per day in food charges for its stay in the pound. Animal registration fees are also on the rise, except for desexed and microchipped dogs and cats, which will stay at no cost.
One new charge has been added – a $180 annual fee for approval for waste management works.
