New book launch at Cooloola Coastcare
COOLOOLA Coastcare Association and Cooloola Cove Residents and Friends have launched a new book, Cooloola Cove Wetlands and Waterways, along with a revised edition of author Robert Whyte's book, The Creek in our Backyard.
Cooloola Cove Wetlands and Waterways provides residents of Cooloola Cove and other interested parties an extensive and far-reaching insight into just what exists in and around the local catchment area, waterways and foreshore.
This includes birds, insects, frogs and fish, as well as indigenous plants and weeds.
To obtain the Cooloola Cove Wetlands and Waterways booklet, any Cooloola Cove resident may have one free of charge if they contact the Cooloola Cove Residents and Friends group. Otherwise, they can be purchased for $5 from the City Farm Nursery.
And don't forget, if you present your rates free tree voucher, you may also pick up a couple of free plants for your garden.
The books will also be donated to the Gympie Library collection and the two coastal schools to be used as reference books for catchment studies.
