NAMED: Man faces Dalby court on child abuse material charges
A MAN has been mentioned in Dalby Magistrates Court charged with accessing child abuse material through a carriage service.
James William Clayton was represented by solicitor Jessica Hine in his absence in court yesterday, seeking an adjournment to allow for the brief of evidence to be prepared.
Police prosecutor senior constable Jodie Tahana said it had been requested from the Cyber Crimes Unit, however they currently have a backlog of briefs for upcoming cases.
Court documents from August 25 indicated it would take up to three months to await computer examination results.
Magistrate Roger Stark adjourned the matter until November 10 for a committal mention while the brief was being prepared.
