Mum on DUI charge after crash and alleged assaults at school

A MOTHER who was allegedly drunk when she crashed into a row of cars and attacked police officers outside her child's Sydney school has been charged.

The 37-year-old was breath-tested after her car allegedly collided with a number of cars on Anzac Ave at Menai during school pick-up time on Wednesday afternoon.

Police allege the woman tested positive and when officers tried to arrest her, she bit, kicked and scratched them.

After a stint at the Sutherland hospital, where she underwent blood and urine testing and was treated for minor injuries, the woman was charged with driving under the influence, negligent driving and six counts of assaulting police.

She will front court on August 15.
