Mum leaves kids in car, disappears

A MOTHER who went missing in Nambour last night is believed to be in a 1996 Blue Mitsubishi Lancer Coupe with Queensland registration number 847 MUK.

Police are appealing for public help to find the woman, who left her children at a service station last night.

The 37-year-old woman parked at a Nambour service station on the corner of Coronation Ave and Bli Bli Rd about 11pm.

She went into the shop and then walked away, leaving her children in the car.

She did not return.

Police said a woman fitting her description may have been spotted walking north along Nambour Connection Rd.

She is described as Caucasian, with a slim build and long, straight dark hair to her waist.

She was wearing knee-high brown boots, dark coloured pants and a tight-fitting, long-sleeved brown crop top, which left her midriff revealed.

Police are concerned about her safety and wellbeing.

She has not contacted family, friends or work colleagues since last night.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
