Multiple crashes in Gympie region

A PREGNANT woman has been taken to hospital with minor injuries after her 4WD collided with a truck at the intersection of the Bruce Hwy and the Mary Valley Rd at around midday.

A friend of the 4WD driver who wished to remain anonymous said the woman was shaken up, but otherwise fine.

The truck driver was unharmed in the accident.

Police had to close down part of the intersection for around 30 minutes in order to clear the area.

In another incident, a woman escaped injury in a single vehicle accident at Rose Creek Bridge on Kilkivan Tansey Rd just before 1pm.

The woman was released by Queensland Ambulance Services after being assessed on the scene.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Gympie Station Officer Adrian Bond advised Gympie residents to exercise caution and drive to conditions.

“QFES would like to remind everyone to please slow down in the wet, and take extra care during the busy school holiday period.”
