Mr Consistency in form

LINDSAY Taylor has once again demonstrated the form which consolidates his reputation as one of the Gympie Vets' most consistent players.

Taylor carded an impressive 41 points to win last Tuesday's single stableford event, which was two points clear of another consistent club swinger, the evergreen Don Griggs, while Greg Gallagher on 37 points claimed third place in a countback from Ray Rigbye.

Bob McPherson was the best in B-division, winning in a countback with 35 points over the unlucky Graeme Major, followed by Perry Pyke on 34 points.

Tuesday's play also saw the introduction of a third C-grade division, which was won by Gerry Jocobsen on 37 points, with runner-up Alan Smith two points further back, which was one point clear of third placegetter Noel Turvey.

16th N.T.P. A Division: John Tisdell, Ray Rigbye, Joe Simaile, Doug Westlake, Bob McPherson, Max Tompkins, Don Griggs.

16th N.T.P. B Division: Larry Parshall, Bill Wood, Fred Pooley, Noel Turvey, Gerry Entwistle.

Next Tuesday Gympie Vets will travel to play a host day at Tin Can Bay with a 9.30am shotgun start.

On Wednesday, August 8, members will play for the monthly medals for trophies provided by Bill Wood and Graeme Williams.
