Biker dies in New Year’s Eve crash

A motorcyclist has died after crashing in to a tree on a median strip south-west of Brisbane on New Year’s Eve.

Police say the 33-year-old Morayfield man was riding along Sinnathamby Boulevard at Springfield Central when he lost control.

The bike hit a tree in the centre median strip.

The man was taken to the PA Hospital, where he died a short time later.

No-one else was involved in the accident and investigations are continuing.
