Motorcyclist clocked at 171kmh, did you see him?

POLICE are calling for witnesses to a high-speed traffic offence on Childers Rd at Elliott.

At 7.05am Thursday a black Suzuki motorcycle was intercepted by police after recording a speed of 171kmh in a 100kmh zone.

Police will allege the 24-year-old man overtook a number of cars at high speed before he was intercepted.

Anyone who believes they may have been overtaken by, or saw the motorcyclist is being asked to come forward and call Bundaberg police on 4153 9111.

The man has been charged with a number of traffic offences including speeding and not holding the appropriate licence for the vehicle.
