GYMPIE Motorcycle Club spokesperson Donna Jeremy says everything is ready to go for the club’s Practice Day this weekend.

The event will be held at the club’s track at Cedar Pocket and Jeremy said two action-packed days were in the pipeline.

“We will be getting underway at 10am and there will be motocross Saturday and enduro riding Sunday,” she said.

The Practice Day isn’t about winning, with an emphasis on having fun and participation.

Classes will consist of novice and experienced riders, ensuring participants a chance to hit the track with fellow club members of a similar level of ability.

“This is a non-competitive event and we would like to encourage any first time riders to come and have a go, or just have a look and see what we do,” Jeremy said.

“There will be some skilled riders participating worth watching.”

The event will be fully catered for with a canteen running Saturday and Sunday, providing lunch, dinner and breakfast.

Free camping is available but there will be no showering facilities. Cost is juniors (Under 15) $15 per day plus $20 for the one event licence – if needed. Seniors $20 per day plus licence.
