Motorcycle club can't be stopped

JUNIOR members of the Gympie Motorcycle club continue to burn rubber following a successful outing in New South Wales last month.

Gympie Motorcycle Club spokesperson Donna Jeremy said seven club members shone taking part in the second round of the Yamaha Sprint Cross Country Enduro on the weekend of May 16. The event was held in Kyogle.

“Once again our juniors excelled in the placings,” she said.

In their respective classes, the results were as follows:

Guy Parkinson 1st, Kasey Winston 2nd, Peter-Daniel Allan 2nd, Ben Korn 1st, Trumann Winston 4th, Codie Winston 2nd and Sarah Brook 1st.

Adding to the success was a second place in a team event, where the club nominated riders to compete before individual scores were added together at the end of the day to provide a result.

The next meet for the club will be at Goomburra, near Warwick, on the weekend of June 19 and 20.

The club is certain to add to its already standout year.
