Miracle mum wins hearts

THE long lunch fundraiser for Gympie miracle mum Amanda LePeilbet raised an impressive $4227 in just over two hours last week.

Amanda's supporters said the success of the lunch, held at the Gunabul Homestead, was thanks to "some very, very generous and supportive people".

"(Thanks to) those who provided the auction items and those who purchased them at great prices," said co-organiser Jan Watt yesterday.

"Thank you also to Zesty Edibles who supported via lunch and the venue.

"So, the money has been tallied and given to Amanda who is blown away by everyone's generosity.

"As she said, thank you doesn't seem to be enough."

The bathroom at Amanda's Gympie home, which she shares with her partner Ered Fox and their baby daughter Cloe, is being renovated this week.

Fittings for the bathroom will now be purchased immediately with money raised at the luncheon.

"The bank account is still open for those who would like to simply donate some cash to the appeal, and we will be running a fabulous raffle over the next month," Jan said.

"Keep an eye out for the prizes."
